The distance to the airport is about 48 kilometers and it takes less than 40 minutes to get there by motorway AP-7. Another of the most used options to communicate from Villajoyosa is the famous Metropolitan Trenet or TRAM of Alicante, which goes from Alicante to Denia.
It has many and very prominent monuments and places of interest and a lot of cultural and tourist interest, hence it is the capital of the Marina Baixa. Traditionally it was a fishing town but it has been developing the industry and manufacture of chocolate (Chocolates Valor, Clavileño, Perez, etc.) and tourism. Something also remarkable about this town are its festivities of Moors and Christians, known throughout the region and which are worth visiting and its countless beaches, coves and charming coves and its famous beach bars.
